BUP Mellanvård Sydväst is looking for a qualified psychologist for PTP service

BUP Mellanvård is a unit within BUP Stockholm that works with children/youth and their families who may need more intensive help within specialized child psychiatry. The clinic is located at Arenavägen 33 in the Globen area. We are 24 people with broad competence and long experience working at the clinic, and we feel joy and engagement in our work and enjoy working together. We value a good working environment with open collaboration among staff.

We keep ourselves updated in our field by attending training, inviting speakers, and having external supervision in assessment, investigation, and treatment methods. We find it very exciting to continue the work with and the development of the FACT (Functional Assertive Community Treatment) method, which is a model for treatment and support in complex and serious conditions/life circumstances where collaboration with various actors is needed.

Job Description

Child psychiatric treatment and family work with children, youth, and their families. An important task for the psychologists at Mellanvården is to contribute knowledge in diagnostics, assessment, treatment, and neuropsychiatric investigations. The work includes collaboration with the patient's internal and external networks. We often work in pairs in the treatment work. The work provides good conditions for creative, flexible, and varied treatment plans.

Common to all PTP services is to conduct psychiatric and psychological assessment, investigation, and treatment work under supervision and gain broad experience of different types of patient work. As a PTP psychologist, you will participate in both the SLSO-wide PTP program and a local one for BUP with more clinical application. As a PTP psychologist, you will also have the opportunity to participate in supervision together with other employees at the clinic.

Qualifications

You must have a degree in psychology and a strong interest in child and adolescent psychiatry. Previous work experience in child and adolescent psychiatric work is an advantage.

Personal Qualities

You are self-assured, empathetic, and good at structuring and completing tasks. You are also flexible and have a particularly good ability to work in a team and collaborate with co-therapists and the child's/youth's families and external networks. We place great importance on personal qualities.

The position is filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.

• employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
• in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
